In the hilly and mountainous areas of southwest China, rape is the third most dominant crop after rice, corn, and wheat. However, the rapeseed harvest season often encounters rainy and cool weather, which is not conducive to drying operations, resulting in serious losses such as germination, mildew, and insect damage. Since the fields in hilly and mountainous areas are small and scattered, most of the rapeseed cultivation is scattered and cultivated by each household on a small scale. At the same time, restricted by economic conditions, the human-type automated rapeseed dryer cannot meet the needs of rapeseed production in the hilly and mountainous areas of southwest China.
In recent years, with the rapid development of rural economy and the implementation of the national agricultural machinery purchase subsidy policy, agricultural mechanization in hilly and mountainous areas has become an urgent problem that needs to be solved. In this context, in order to solve the problem of drying rapeseed in hilly and mountainous areas in southwest China, our factory has developed a mobile three-cylinder dryer that can use waste such as firewood as fuel and is suitable for drying rapeseed in hilly and mountainous areas.
Waste fuels such as firewood, pomace, and straw are added from the fuel feeding port of the combustion furnace and burned in the combustion chamber. A heat exchanger is installed between the inner and outer walls of the combustion furnace, and the cold air is heated and sent to the bottom of the upper grain hopper. The rapeseed in the upper grain hopper is blown to the three-cylinder dryer bin by the hot air flow conveying device. During the blowing process, the hot air fluidizes and dries the rapeseed.
The drying chamber of the three-cylinder dryer is a horizontal rotating cylinder structure, and the inner wall of the cylinder is equipped with axial copying plates arranged in a spiral line. After the rapeseed enters the dryer, it is driven by the lifting board and falls down in a waterfall shape at a certain height, ensuring full contact with the hot air and realizing moisture and heat exchange.
A rapid cooling device is installed at the rear of the drying chamber of the three-cylinder dryer, and the heated rapeseed is quickly cooled in the rapid cooling device. In the hilly and mountainous areas of southwest China, under normal circumstances, the moisture content of high-humidity rapeseed can be reduced to a minimum after drying, and it can be stored for a short period of time to avoid the rainy season. The rapeseed that has been dried once can also be added to the grain hopper through the wind suction device. After another drying, the moisture content of the rapeseed can reach a safe level and can be stored for a long time.
